An injured civils worker was taken to hospital by air ambulance on Wednesday after an accident on a housing site in Kent.
Emergency services were called to Persimmon Homes site at Minster on the Isle of Sheppey.
Local paper KentOnline reported that the injured worker was employed by contractor Houlihan & Co who are carrying out site preparation works to pave the way for 700 new homes.
A spokesperson for Houlihan & Co said: “We can confirm that an accident did occur while we were conducting preparatory drainage works on site today.
“One of our employees has been taken to the hospital for further medical attention, and our thoughts are with him and his family at this time.
“We are also incredibly grateful for the support of the emergency services who attended.”
