If you need to head north or south for work, you can travel almost the entire length of the country with a direct train.

The North East boasts some of the most stunning natural landscapes in the country. From the stunning Northumberland coastline to the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, some of nature’s finest offerings are right on your doorstep.

If you enjoy delving into history, then the area has that in abundance too. Walk along remnants of Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland National Park, see Roman ruins from the same era or take in the sights of the monumental Bamburgh Castle on the beach. And there’s plenty more to see and do.
