Thames Water finance chief joins BAM UK & Ireland

BAM UK & Ireland has appointed Abigail Farrell-Black as its new executive director of finance following Henri de Pater’s promotion to group chief financial officer at Royal BAM.
Farrell-Black joins from Thames Water, where she was finance director for operations. She previously held senior finance posts at Southern Water and UK Power Networks, bringing over 20 years’ experience in regulated industries.
She becomes part of BAM’s UK and Ireland leadership team and will report directly to de Pater in his new role at the helm of the group’s finances.
Farrell-Black said: “I’m excited to be part of BAM, an organisation that places sustainability and people at the heart of everything it does. Its values align closely with my passion for inclusive workplaces where everyone can bring their authentic self to work.”
BAM chief operating officer John Wilkinson said: “Abigail’s extensive experience in financial leadership roles across major UK utility companies makes her an excellent addition to our team.
“Her expertise will be instrumental in supporting our commitment to delivering strong, predictable performance, high-quality projects, and lasting value to the communities where we operate.”
