TfL seeks firms for £700m civils and station framework
Transport for London is gearing up to launch a £700m infrastructure framework for civils, M&E, and major station upgrades across the capital.
The new multi-discipline deal will use early contractor involvement and multi-stage contracting to fast-track key schemes including the £80m South Kensington and £60m Elephant & Castle station upgrades, alongside £200m worth of Step Free Access packages.
Four firms will be selected under the two-stage framework, which will run for an initial two years with the option to extend to four. Direct call-offs will be used, avoiding mini competitions.
The framework will be open only to contractors registered on the Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) under a wide range of work categories from piling and concrete frames to escalators and ticket barriers.
The full tender is expected to go live on 27 June with winners confirmed in October.
Firms have until 16 June to register interest.
