Ring road builder wanted at £4bn Somerset gigafactory
Tata-owned Agratas has started the hunt for a contractor to build a £60m ring-road around its EV battery factory site at Bridgwater in Somerset.
The new road will make access easier to the site which is planned to be home to a £4bn gigafactory.
Agratas published a Prior information Notice for the road job this week with plans for a market engagement day later this month to discuss plans.

Sir Robert McAlpine is currently overseeing work under a pre-construction agreement to deliver Building One comprising 2.6m sq ft of built area.
Bristol earthworks specialist Kelston Sparkes has been on the site for nearly a year under a two-year ground and earthworks deal which includes a huge piling-mat-installation of over 1km in length and 750m wide, requiring approximately 1 million tonnes of aggregate.
NG Bailey and TClarke have also been confirmed as the two MEP partners for the delivery of the job.
