YORhub has confirmed the eight winning contractors for its new £1bn YORcivil Major Works 2 framework covering major infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the Humber region.

The latest lineup marks a shake-up from the previous framework, with several newcomers joining the fold and some long-standing players stepping out.

New entrants this time include Esh Construction, Jackson Civil Engineering and Octavius Infrastructure, who join returning firms Galliford Try Infrastructure, John Graham Construction, John Sisk & Son and Aureos Infrastructure Services. BAM Nuttall also secures a spot for the first time.

Firms that have dropped off the new list include Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, Tarmac Farrens JV and Tilbury Douglas Construction.

The single-lot framework covers civil engineering projects valued over £10m, including highways, bridges, flood defences, coastal works and major drainage schemes. It replaces the current YORcivil Major Works deal that expires in December 2025 and sits alongside the YORcivil3 framework for smaller projects up to £10m.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Sheffield City Council will jointly manage the new setup, which aims to keep a strong pipeline of work flowing through local supply chains.
