Modular housing specialist files for administration
East Sussex modular housing specialist Boutique Modern has stopped work at its sites after filing a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
Operating from a factory in Newhaven, the firm which was set up 16 years ago, employs around 68 skilled workers.
The firm has several live housing projects located in Lancing, St Leonards and Eastbourne.
It was also gearing up to start its biggest project to date of 100 homes at Eastbourne’s historic Grade II-listed Victorian Pump House site.
Enabling works were underway with first housing units due to be delivered shortly to site.
Boutique Modular specialises in modern-looking affordable homes for housing associations and local authorities in the southern region and has delivered over 240 homes.
It was the first in the UK to achieve B Corp certification, having met rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.
