Mace tops March contracts league after big office win
Mace topped the March contract league rankings on the strength of a single a £450m office scheme on London’s South Bank.
The Red Lion Court scheme, known as Project Roar, will see 23,000 sq m of office space built across 11 storeys, with two basement levels.
Morgan Sindall came in second place in last month’s contract wins rankings with a dozen jobs totalling an estimated £270m, the largest being the £130m redevelopment of the Crystal Palace Sports Centre in south London.
Shed and multi-storey living specialist Winvic ranked third after securing a £130m warehouse deal for logistics client Panatonni at Hardwick Grange in Warrington.

Across the wider market, the top 50 contractors saw new orders fall in March, with total contract awards dropping to £3.65bn from £4.1bn in the prior month.
In the rolling 12-month rankings of work won, Strabag held top spot, buoyed by its £3bn long-term Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme contract.
Private contractor McLaren climbed to second place for the first time, supported by 31 contract wins over the year, according to data compiled by Barbour ABI.
Mace held third place in the annual rankings.
