Mace chairman honoured with CBE

Mace chairman Mark Reynolds has been made CBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours.

Reynolds, who has also been co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council since 2022, was honoured for services to business and the construction industry.

He stepped down last year as Mace Group’s chief executive, a role he had held since 2013, maintaining the role of executive chairman which he has held since January 2022.

  • Dr Hywel Davies, head of technical insight at the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. For services to building safety and standards.
  • Dr Aderonke Savage chief executive officer and founder of engineering environmental services specialist Jomas Associates. For services to young people, to business and to the construction industry

MBE

  • Peter Brewin, director and co-founder of Concrete Canvas Ltd. For services to engineering materials innovation.
  • William Crawford, director and co-founder, Concrete Canvas Ltd. For services to engineering materials innovation and to export.
  • Professor Peter Farrell, construction management professor emeritus at University of Greater Manchester. For services to higher education and to the construction industry
  • William Scott, founder and chair, Scott and Ewing and Woodvale Construction. For services to construction in Northern Ireland
  • Ruth Shilston, global practice lead at Mott MacDonald. For services to sustainable engineering
  • Andrew Windass, senior engineer at electrical and mechanical design consultancy AGH Engineering. For services to rail engineering
