Consultant GHD UK is planning a round of redundancies with staff set to be let go later this month.

The Enquirer understands that almost 25% of the current workforce could be hit affecting around 65 staff.

Insiders said the move was driven by a slower than expected start to the current AMP8 water spending round and a strategic move to focus on core engineering business units like energy and water.

Job losses are expected to be concentrated in the environment, contamination, geotechnical and waste divisions

“We remain committed to delivering high quality services and project leadership. Regrettably, some workforce reductions are anticipated as a result of this review and our consultation process with those potentially affected is ongoing.”
