Homes England and Vistry launch £150m housing JV

Partnership homes developer Vistry Group has teamed up with Homes England to create a long-term joint venture aimed at accelerating large-scale housing delivery across England.

The new vehicle, named Hestia, is backed by £150m from both partners and will target strategic sites ranging from 400 to 3,000 homes.

Vistry said that by co-investing with Homes England, it could upscale the delivery of mixed tenure communities

As well as building out major schemes at pace, Hestia will pilot the release land parcels to SME builders, supporting smaller firms to play a bigger role in tackling housing shortages.

Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Vistry, said: “As one of the country’s largest providers of affordable homes, we are closely aligned with Homes England and share their ambitions for further affordable housing delivery.

“Hestia represents a bold and collaborative step forward in unlocking the potential of large-scale sites and accelerating the creation of thriving, mixed-tenure communities across England.”
