Hampshire launches £150m minor works reboot

Hampshire County Council has fired the starting gun on a £150m minor works framework covering building fabric and M&E jobs across the south.

The new four-year framework replaces the current deal due to expire in early 2026 and will run until January 2030, offering work to over 50 firms across seven lots.

The council will us the framework to streamline procurement on low-value works with a mix of direct awards on rotation and mini-competitions.

Minor Works Framework 2026–2030
Lot Description Value (ex VAT)
Lot 1 General building works (up to £250k) £35m
Lot 2 General building works (£250k–£2.5m) £60m
Lot 3 SCOLA recladding (any value) £22m
Lot 4 External windows and doors (up to £750k) £5.5m
Lot 5 Roofing (up to £500k) £7.7m
Lot 6 Mechanical works (up to £500k) £11m
Lot 7 Electrical works (up to £500k) £8.8m
Total £150m

Jobs will range from under £250k refurbishments to multi-site window replacements, school recladding and boiler upgrades. A single supplier will be appointed to deliver all SCOLA recladding projects across the region.

Public sector bodies across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight can use the framework.

The submission deadline is 25 July. Click here for more information.
