Glasgow city centre hotel approved at £25m
Developer Caledonia Property has gained planning for a £25m hotel and retail scheme at Trongate in Glasgow city centre.
Much-needed hotel to be built in the heart of the historic Merchant City
Designed by Mosaic Architecture, the 12-storey building project will provide 157 bedrooms, a bar/restaurant and roof terrace affording excellent views over the city.
The site will see the demolition of the former bank premises and retail outlets on the corner of Trongate and Hutcheson Street, together with the Oriental Bar.
Stephen Mallon, Director of Mosaic, said: “We look forward to leading the delivery team to construct the property through the next phase of this landmark development for the city.
