Galliford Try tops monthly contracts league
Galliford Try was the most successful work-winning contractor in November securing a dozen projects.
The firm’s big orders was the £135m Wigan Galleries town centre redevelopment project, one of Greater Manchester’s most ambitious regeneration projects to deliver new homes, leisure and retail facilities as well as a modern market, food hall and hotel.
Galliford Try also secured the second phase of the Dolphin Square Restoration Project in central London, a large 193os built residential complex in Pimlico.
Developer/contractor S1 Developments ranked second with a major residential job to deliver the southern expansion of Edinburgh Park in the Scottish Capital for developer Parabola.
In the 12-month rolling league of work won, Morgan Sindall continues to lead the chasing pack, although second-placed Kier is closing in on the contractor as the two firms battle to be crowned winner for 2024.
According to data compiled by Barbour ABI, the value of projects secured by the leading 50 contractors slumped in November to £2.1bn, down from £3.4bn in October and £4.4bn in September.
