Funding deal for £237m Tide Construction student tower
A £237m funding deal has paved the way for construction of the first major high rise student accommodation scheme at Canary Wharf in London.
Tide Construction will build the 1,068-bed student tower at 30 Marsh Wall, to the south of West India Dock.
Demolition has been completed at the site with construction now ready to start, subject to regulatory approval.
The 48-storey project for Vita Group, which secured loan financing from Eldridge Real Estate Credit, is due to complete in 2028 with Tide Construction serving as developer and contractor.
Tide’s method of delivery will result in an 80% reduction in site waste, while ensuring that 100 % of any waste produced, is recycled.
The deal is Tide’s second project with student accommodation specialist Vita Group.
As of now, Tide has successfully completed projects worth over £4bn.
