Firms put on alert for £1.5bn decarbonisation framework
Procurement body Fusion21 has placed firms on alert for a £1.5bn tender race for spots on a national decarbonisation framework.
Places on the second-generation framework will be available on two lots covering whole house decarbonisation and public and education building decarbonisation.
Big-name national contractors like BAM FM, Kier, Lovell, Vinci and Wates alongside a host of specialist and regional firms secured places on the first national framework that will now be renewed.
The framework will provide geographical coverage across the UK down to a regional and local level, and call-off options enable a direct award – in order to meet tight project delivery timescales – or a further competition.
Firms bidding will need to be at least PAS2030:2019 accredited and be in the process of assessment for PAS2030:2023.
Tender documents will be issued on 13 January with view to the new decarbonisation framework launching in April 2025.
