Dalkia lands £200m nuclear maintenance deal

Dalkia UK has been awarded a £200m facilities management deal on eight  nuclear power stations operated by parent company EDF.

The contract covers a broad spectrum of services including mechanical and electrical maintenance, building fabric and grounds upkeep, industrial services, catering, waste  management and office support services.

As part of the deal around 1,000 employees based at Dungeness B, Hartlepool, Heysham 1 & 2, Hinkley Point B, Hunterston B, Sizewell B and Torness power stations will join the Facilities Division of Dalkia UK.

Mark Hartley, MD, EDF Nuclear Operations, said: “I am grateful for the positive engagement of the Facilities Management teams working on EDF’s existing nuclear power stations in the UK. I am confident that they  will continue to thrive under the leadership of Dalkia and contribute to the enhanced performance of our fleet over the coming years.”
