Costain poaches Amey highways boss
Costain has appointed Andy Denman as its new road sector director to spearhead growth across the highways market.
Denman brings over 25 years of experience from senior roles formerly as highways director at Amey for over three years, and before that operation director at Ringway Jacobs. Prior to this he was a contracts director at Carillion.
In his new role, he will focus on delivering major schemes, renewals and maintenance programmes while strengthening Costain’s position as a key partner to National Highways and local authorities.
His appointment follows a string of recent wins for Costain, including a place on National Highways’ £420m Specialist Professional and Technical Services Framework (SPaTS3) running through Roads Investment Strategy 3 (2026–2031), and confirmation of funding for the M60 Simister Island Interchange scheme where Costain is delivery partner.
Jonathan Willcock, managing director of transportation at Costain, said: “Andy has a wealth of experience shaping and leading high-performing highways infrastructure programmes and his appointment will support our continued growth in the nationally-critical roads sector.”
