Cladding firm sunk by BSR delays
Staff at aluminium cladding supplier and installer EuroWindows are looking for new jobs after getting redundancy notices last week.
The Essex based family firm has been in business since 1971 with workers blaming ongoing delays to projects caused by hold-ups with Building Safety Regulator approval.
One said: “EuroWindows like many others has had to close their doors due to financial pressures and the constant delays in projects starting due to BSR.”
Another added: “Unfortunately all employees were made redundant today because two projects were delayed for months at BSR.
“We should have been in the middle of a great two years but with insufficient other work to go round to fill the gap the delays created, cashflow was depleted.
“I expect many more will also be struggling.”
Latest accounts for the company show EuroWindows had a turnover of £5.3m for the year to April 30 2025 generating a pre-tax profit of £205,000 while employing 27 people.
