Bennett steps-in to finish Guinness Covent Garden brewery
Bennett Construction has been appointed by Diageo to complete the £73m Guinness Microbrewery and Culture Hub at Old Brewer’s Yard in the centre of Covent Garden, London.
The £73m project has been hit by delays after original fit out contractor Beck Interiors went into administration last year.
The ‘Guinness at Old Brewer’s Yard’ scheme is now scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
The 50,000 sq ft development includes the remodelling of existing buildings at Neal St., Mercers Lane and Shelton St. and will deliver event spaces in each building and a central covered courtyard.
Bennett said: “The location of the project in the heart of Covent Garden and the nature of the historic buildings that are being re-modelled has presented significant logistical and technical challenges that are being overcome daily by our project team in a collaborative manner with the client team.
“Our team are excited to be involved in such a flagship project and are on track to deliver the project by the end of 2025.”
