£3bn London councils general works deal out to bid
Tendering is starting for a £3bn general works framework for new build and retrofit work across London and the wider south east.
London’s Haringey Borough Council is handling the procurement of the London Construction Programme framework, which has been reshaped to allocate places for small and medium-sized firms as well as bigger players in the market.
It will be used for a mix of new build, fire safety, refurb/retrofit and planned preventative maintenance by LCP members including councils, NHS Trusts and housing associations.
The programme will run for five years and adopts new Procurement Act rules covering inclusion of smaller firms and best value including social provision assessments.
Bids are due in on 21 April. For more information click here.
