        £200m plan lodged to transform Huyton town centre
Genr8 Kajima Regeneration, in partnership with Knowsley Council, has submitted a £200m hybrid planning application to deliver a major regeneration of Huyton Village.
The St Michael’s Place scheme aims to breathe new life into the town centre. Phase one will be anchored by a new 90,000 sq ft council HQ along with 72 flats, a 130-bed hotel, a 3.3-acre village green.

Later phases include a further 300+ homes and 150,000 sqft of commercial office space, all helping to increase footfall in the town centre.
At the heart of the plans is a new village green surrounded by improved public realm and pedestrian links, designed to create a more welcoming and connected town centre.

Knowsley Council chief executive James Duncan said: “Submitting this planning application is a significant milestone in our vision for Huyton Town Centre. This project will create jobs, attract investment, and deliver the kind of vibrant, sustainable community our residents deserve.”
A planning decision is expected early in the new year.
