£150m Bristol student scheme approved
Developer Cubex Land has got the planning thumbs up for a 22-storey purpose-built student accommodation scheme in the Temple Quarter of Bristol.
The £150m student living project will provide 530-beds in the Corstorphine & Wright designed building on Albert Road.
Builder Bowmer & Kirkland is tipped to take the project.
The development will include a mix of studio flats and cluster beds. There will also be commercial space on the ground and first floors.
Situated beside the River Avon, the project includes delivering a section Bristol Avon Flood Strategy flood defence at the expense of the developer.
The project will also provide a public link for pedestrian and cyclists to the river walkway and to St Phillip’s footbridge leading to Temple Island, and incorporate space to create a new boulevard on Albert Road.
