Liverpool-based Jarron Developments has gained planning for its £110m Metalworks residential scheme in the city’s Pumpfields district.

Designed by architect Falconer Chester Hall, the 16-storey scheme will transform a prominent site at the junction of Leeds Street and Vauxhall Road.

Metalworks will provide 401 homes, including 396 flats and five townhouses with retail and communal spaces on the ground level.

Amenities will include a cinema room, gym, and rooftop gardens and running track.

Legacie Contracts is tipped for the job which should start construction by June.

Sustainability is a key focus, with green roofs and public realm improvements enhancing the environment and accessibility. The rooftop terrace will offer stunning views across the city and waterfront.
